Westercove™ is an interactive digital grief wellness companion combining grief education, guided journaling, and personalized support to help adults understand what they are experiencing and to put language around that which they may not yet know how to explain.
I built it after the loss of my son, Justin, because I searched for something that could simply be there with me. A steady presence. A private place to reflect, remember, write, understand my grief, and make sense of what I was experiencing. A companion for the quiet. As an independent grief science scholar, I made sure it is grounded in current research: each of its eighteen Guiding Principles is tied to published grief research and to a decision you can see inside Westercove™.
Share a reflection out loud or in silence, as a memory, a letter, an anniversary, a prayer, or simply a hard day.
Warm, unhurried responses that acknowledge your grief, and when they offer guidance, they cite sources you can trust.
Gentle, personalized encouragement that changes as your grief changes, because the early days are not like the later ones.
Vetted books and resources you can add to over time, chosen for warmth and credibility.
Save memories, revisit past entries, and export or delete your words whenever you wish. They belong to you.
Guided prompts, each with alternatives, for the moments a blank page feels like too much.
Westercove™ does not replace therapy or medical care. It fills the hours around them.
Westercove™ offers individual subscriptions and organizational licensing, making grief support accessible to more people.
